The Cook County Department of Public Health is the state certified public health agency for Cook County, with the exception of Chicago, Evanston, Skokie, Oak Park, and Stickney Township. As such, we protect the health of our residents through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and research for disease and injury prevention.
