Students in Palatine High School’s choir program had a chance to escape chilly Chicago weather during spring break and have the time of their lives performing and exploring culture in Hawaii’s tropical climate. Sixty choir students spent five days in Oahu, Hawaii to perform at various locations and sightsee parts of the island during their downtime. Student Choir can be heard Christmas Day at 11 a.m., rebroadcast Dec. 30 at 10 p.m., and streaming online at www.wfmt.com.
After all the packages have been opened on Christmas morning, the wrappings cleared away, and a late breakfast consumed, my family likes to listen to Christmas music while we wait for grandma and grandpa to arrive for more celebrations. Our radio will be tuned to Chicago's fine arts and classical station, 98.7 WFMT to hear the Palatine High School Concert Choir. The choir will be heard at 11 a.m. Christmas Day in an hour-long recorded program of holiday music and other favorites on the radio station's Introductions program. The high school choir auditioned and was selected for the program. They are no strangers to media broadcasts. Last year, the choir…
