Wagner was thanked for his service to Palatine at a meeting in April. Kozlowski said he had spent the last two weeks working with Village Manager Reid Ottesen and other staff members getting up to speed. "I've really dived into a lot of stuff," Kozlowski said. The Palatine Village Council thanked Jack Wagner for 24 years of service.
After 24 years, District 5 Council member Jack Wagner's tenure on the village board is fast approaching its end. Wagner was defeated in the April 5 election by Kollin Kozlowski. Village Council members and the Village Clerk earn $500 a month plus $25 a meeting. In December we estimated there were three council meetings a month and calculated based on that premise. Since then we have learned that the $25 also applies to committee meetings and other meetings. During a meeting, the council will adjourn and call a committee into session.
