Palatine Turkey Trot Draws Thousands
More than 2,200 adults and children turned out for the 32 annual Turkey Trot and Drumstick Dash Thanksgiving morning.
The 32nd annual Palatine Park District Turkey Trot drew more than 2,200 people on Thanksgiving morning at Harper College. "We're just thrilled at the turnout today, this is such a goodwill event where the proceeds help to fund scholarships through the Palatine Park District Foundation," said Michael Clark, Palatine Park District executive director. Those scholarships ensure that park district residents experiencing difficult financial times can still be involved in the many programs offered. Participants also were asked to being a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Palatine Township Food Pantry.
