D-15 Superintendent Signs 5-Year Deal, Gets Raise

The District 15 school board approves five-year deal for Superintendent Scott Thompson that includes a 1.5 percent salary increase, the Daily Herald reports.

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 approved a 5-year deal that includes a 1.5 percent pay increase for Superintendent Scott Thompson Wednesday, the Daily Herald reported. With the 1.5 percent raise Thompson will make about $224,000 this year. Future changes to the superintendent’s salary will be based on performance evaluations at the end of each school year, the Daily Herald reports. Thompson accepted the pay increase this year after his salary was frozen for about a year. In June of 2011, the District 15 school board unanimously approved a three-year contract extension for Thompson along with a salary freeze. At that time, the District stopped contributing to the Teachers’ Retirement System on behalf of Thompson, which was about $…

Well are we not surprised, in the school board meeting in April or May they were talking about how we needed to cut back so they had all these departments up on there little graph and who was having cuts and when we get to Adminastration well there was this big fat ZERO, that should have told us then no cuts from Admin. but we will sacrafice the children again they are young they will adapt.
