What's the highest temperature we'll see this week?
What a difference a year makes. A year ago, temperatures soared in the 80s over St. Patrick's Day weekend. As for this year, residents should not expect any warm weather this week. The highest temperature for Palatine should come on Sunday when a high of 40 degrees —with partly sunny skies — is in the forecast. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be cold, with highs of 30, 23 and 28, respectively—but we'll see some sunshine each day, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are forecast to warm a little on Friday and the weekend, with highs of 34, 38 and 40 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Amie Schaenzer contributed to this article.

Share your totals in the comment section! ---------------- Update, 7:04 p.m.: Check out the latest snowfall totals as reported to the National Weather Service in Chicago. I'll provide another update around 11 p.m…
