Three drug cases previously investigated by three Schaumburg cops were dropped Monday by the Cook County State's Attorney, due to what is seen as a lack of crediblity of the officers, the Chicago Tribune Reports. John Cichy, Matt Hudak and Terrie O'Brien face charges of manufacturing and delivering cocaine, armed violence and theft. Cocaine delivery charges against Alex Garcia of Palatine, Ecstasy possesion charges against Raina Lewerenz of Franklin Park and marijuana delivery charges against Marleny Gutierrez of Wheeling all were dropped, according to the Chicago Tribune; 15 of 19 drug cases handled by cops are expected to be thrown out by prosecutors.

Three Schaumburg cops have been arrested for robbing drug dealers following an investigation that lead authorities to one of the officers' homes in Algonquin, Wednesday night, according to media reports. U.S. Drug Enforcement agents arrested John Cichy, Matthew Hudak and Terrance O’Brien Wednesday, and the three Schaumburg police officers had a court appearance this morning in DuPage County, according to the Chicago Tribune. WBBM Radio reported that bond was set at $750,000 for each officer in the case. The officers face charges of manufacturing and delivering cocaine, armed violence and theft, according to the Chicago Tribune.
