Palatine Township board election results from the February 26 special primary.

Suburban Cook County unofficial results for this election are displayed below. Official township and precinct results will be available February 27. There was a full field of candidates for the Palatine Township board special primary election; 18 candidates ran for eight open seats. Challenger Sharon Langlotz-Johnson was able to overtake incumbent Palatine Township Supervisor Linda Fleming. Langlotz-Johnson ran with the slate Doing Things Better for Palatine Township, with trustee candidates Art Goes, Kevin McGrane, Bill Pohlman and Bill Huley, all of which won trustee seats in the special primary. Glad to hear the incumbents are out. Palatine needs fresh blood, enough with the spending and position abuse I'm hearing about. This town is turning into a ghetto in some areas, and rather than push for improvements, the town just coddles the lazy people who don't care what their neighborhood looks like.   more ›

Cook County Clerk Takes Issue with Palatine Township Republican Team Flyer

Cook County Clerk David Orr issued a statement early Monday pointing out that his office does not endorse the Palatine Township Republican Team, as it may have appeared on a flyer sent out by the group that arrived at homes this weekend.

Cook County Clerk David Orr issued a statement Monday clarifying what voters may believe is an endorsement by his office of the Palatine Township Republican Team in a flyer mailed to Palatine Township homes.  "I recently became aware of a flyer that was mailed to voters in Palatine Township by the Palatine Republican Township Team (see attached). One side of the flyer shows a sample ballot, similar to what can be found on my website. However, the flyer also inappropriately uses my name, title and logo, and therefore may imply my endorsement of particular candidates. That it is not the case.
