Letter to the Editor: Why I support Sharon Langlotz-Johnson for Palatine Township Supervisor

Township resident Debra Griffey explains why Langlotz-Johnson has her vote for Palatine Township supervisor in the Tuesday, February 26 primary.

"Why I Support Sharon Langlotz-Johnson for Palatine Township Supervisor"     Like many people I have watched the going-on's in government with varying degrees of bemusement, bafflement and growing outrage. Nationally and locally, so many of our elected officials fail to understand that government's purpose is to serve its constituents in a fiscally responsible manner, while also providing for the more fragile members of our community. Many officials become career policiticians, doing no more than is necessary to ensure their re-election. Palatine Township Republican Primary: Crowded Field of Candidates

In the upcoming special primary election to be held on February 26, 2013, 17 of the 18 candidates are running in contested races.

There is a full field of candidates for the upcoming Palatine Township board special primary election; 18 candidates are running for eight open seats. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, February 26, and early voting will be available to registered voters now until Saturday, February 23.   For more information on early voting, click here.  For a list of polling locations on the day of the primary, click here.  Two candidates each are running for supervisor, clerk and highway commissioner, while 11 individuals are vying for four open trustee spots.
