Palatine Township Republicans to Battle it Out in Primary
While the Democrats chose to have a caucus, the Palatine Township Republican Organization has decided to hold a primary in 2013, and has endorsed a slate of candidates.
For as far back as current Palatine Township officials can track, there has not been a primary amongst either Democrats or Republicans, according to Township Supervisor Linda Fleming. But on February 26, 2013, a primary will be held to sort out which Republicans will face the Democrats in the general election, and it's going to be expensive for taxpayers. And it could be an expensive one for taxpayers. Fleming said she has seen estimates that the primary election alone could cost as much as $100,000 for Cook County taxpayers.
