Palatine Park District Board Election Results

Check back throughout the night for election results for the Palatine Park District board.

Updated 11:45 p.m. In unofficial returns, Susan Gould is the leading vote getter for the Palatine Park District board with 2,223 votes. The race for the second seat still was tight with 52 of 53 precincts reporting. Terry Ruff held a small lead with 1,921 votes to Doug Myslinski's 1,878 votes. Updated 8:42 p.m. Susan Gould seems to have a seat locked up, but Terry Ruff and Doug Myslinski are neck and neck for the other seat. Ruff has about a 32 vote lead. 5 p.m. Suburban Cook County unofficial results for this election are displayed below. Official precinct results will be available April 10.  Two seats are open on the Palatine Park District board with four candidates running.  The only incumbent in Sue Gould, who is running alongside …

It was convenient that Sue Gould was absent from the vote related to Willow Pool. As a realtor in the neighborhood she was caught in the position of having to face the people she sold houses to in the Willow Wood neighborhood; touting the pool as a selling point. Two seats on the Palatine Park District Board are up for election on April 9, 2013 and four candidates are running for commissioner.

Name:  Terry Ruff Biographical Information (optional) family, profession, background, etc.  My wife Joanne and I have been married 32 years and have one child and our first grandchild. I have been  employed as Senior Vice President at Kensington Financial Services in Arlington Hts for the past 26 years. For 13 years I volunteered as a member of the Wheeling Lions Club serving as President and sponsor for the Wheeling Leo Club, a youth service program with students from Wheeling High School. What was the basis on raising the fees for the summer pass to the pools? Why does it matter if I have 2 kids or five kids? We are a family none the less and typically larger families have larger homes and pay a larger amount of taxes to support the park district. Palatine Park District Board: 4 Candidates Running for 2 Seats

Two park board commissioner seats will be open for the April 9 consolidated election. One incumbent is running again, and another has chosen not to.

Two park commissioner seats for the Palatine Park District will be open for the April 9 consolidated election, and four candidates are vying for the spots.  Incumbent Sue Gould, who has been a commissioner since 1993, is one of the candidates, along with Terry Ruff, Doug Myslinski and Jeffrey Service.   Andy McPherson, who was first elected in 2001 served two terms and chose not to run again.  Each Palatine Park District Board seat has as six year term.
