Inverness Man Breaks Into Palatine Retirement Home, Rips Television Off Wall

Leonardo Adames, 33, caused additional damage at the Tamarack retirement home early Sunday, and said he has no recollection of how he got there.

Leonardo Adames, 33 of the 900 block of Livington Lane, Inverness is charged with criminal damage to property and burglary after breaking into the Tamarack retirement home, 55 S. Greeley Street overnight on Sunday. Adames reportedly ripped a television off the wall in the lobby of the home and caused other damage to the residence and a vehicle outside, police said. Palatine Police Commander Kurt Schroeder said Adames smashed two glass doors from the lobby then removed the television, and shattered a windshield of a Cadillac in the parking lot.  Schroeder said Adames claimed he was with friends on Sunday night, and the last thing he remembered was being at a club on Randall Road.  Adames was charged with one count of Residential Burglary, …
