Palatine Police K9 Assists in Ecstasy Drug Charge Arrest

Lake County Sheriff’s officers arrested Fox Lake man in possession of 342 ecstasy pills on Rte. 12.

A Fox Lake man was arrested on felony drug charges with the assistance of the Palatine Police K9 unit at Deer Park Town Center Nov. 30, according to  Sergeant Sara Balmes, public information officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.  Christopher Walker, 36, of the 100 Block of Maude Ave. in Fox Lake, was stopped on traffic violations after driving erratically.  “He wasn’t obeying stop signs in the parking lot,” Balmes said. Detectives followed him as he continued to disobey traffic laws, said Balmes. They stopped him at 7:15 p.m. near Rte. 12 and Quentin Road, for not signaling before turning. Regional Crime Report: Leads Sought in Homicide and More

Grayslake Homicide Leads Sought Police are asking the public for help in solving the homicide of Harry Dahms, 68, of Russell. Dahms was found at 8:30 a.m. June 1 shot to death in his driveway, the Lake County Sheriff’s Department stated. Dahms was a former Lake County Fair board member who was known for working tirelessly at the old Fairgrounds at Routes 25 and 120 in Grayslake.  Family members paid tribute to Dahms this week, calling him a man with a "huge heart," and pleaded with the public for any information to help solve the crime.
