Horse meat Found in IKEA Meatballs, American Customers Concerned

The meatballs containing horse meat were not sold in the Schaumburg or Bolingbrook locations, the Associated Press reports.

Some IKEA Restaurant customers got more than they bargained for in the company's trademark Swedish Meatballs, Reuters reports. The world’s leading furniture retailer, who also has restaurants in each store, has stopped selling its Swedish meatballs in 13 European countries after tests found horse meat in the food labeled as beef and pork, the Associated Press reports. The horse meat-laden meatballs were on sale in the Czech Republic, Britain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Ireland. If that was horse meat in my IKEA meatballs, I'm gonna eat more horse from now on. I just have to get a bigger jar of Lingonberry jelly for a full meal. I actually thought they were made of wood chips and sawdust.   more ›
