Ghost Lore Walk Benefits Haitian Relief
Ghost Lore of Palatine director Linda Cannon offers guided walking tours through downtown Palatine.
Sundays in October, Linda Cannon, director of Ghost Lore of Palatine and her husband are hosting ghost lore walking tours throughout downtown Palatine, with the purpose of collecting charity for Haitian Relief Fund. The tour originates at Durty Nellie's Pub, at 180 N. Smith St., where, prior to the guided walk, participants congregate and watch a brief presentation about historical precedents pertaining to spirits lurking in Palatine. The ghost tour runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a $5 suggested donation upon entry. In January of 2010, Cannon and her husband, Doug took a Caribbean cruise around the area of Saint Thomas in the Virgin Islands.
