After School Fight Sends Palatine Teen to Hospital

15-year-old Palatine boy was hit in the head with a large wooden stick during an after school fight and had to be transported to the hospital Monday, police said.

During an after school fight, a 15-year-old Palatine boy was beaten with a large wooden stick near Palatine High School Monday, police said. Palatine Police Officers responded to a “fight in progress” call around 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1. The 911 caller reported a boy had been hit in the head with a two-by-four on the 1100 block of E. Cunningham Drive. “Somebody said they heard an argument, so we called police,” said nearby resident, Anna Corenjo. “These kids just beat each other up,” Corenjo said, “They use whatever they can find to beat each other.” Officers at the scene said the 15-year-old was hit in the head with a “sizable piece of wood” but not a two-by-four. The boy was transported to Northwest Community Hospital with a head wound. …

Chicago gangs are here in Palatine. If you remember, a similiar situation developed at a Chicago high school, where kids used large pieces of wood to smash heads. We are unable to stop this violence, we do not have the will to stop it, such is "social justice." A vote for Obama will only escalate this type of criminal behavior.   more ›

Fremd Students Face Charges From Inverness Brawl, Stabbing

Five current and former Fremd High School students face charges related to a May 26 brawl.

Five current and former Fremd High School students face criminal charges related to a May 26 brawl in Inverness during which an 18-year-old was stabbed. Inverness Police Chief Bob Haas said four juveniles between the ages of 15 and 17 have been charged with fighting in public. The police also charged an 18-year-old who was stabbed and taken to Northwest Community Hospital with minor injuries. The Inverness Police Department declined to release the name of the 18-year-old, despite the criminal charges. Haas said the juvenile who stabbed the 18-year-old does not face additional charges because he was attacked and did not initiate the confrontation. The fighting in public charge is a misdemeanor. Police Investigate Brawl, Stabbing of Fremd Student

Inverness police say that dozens of Fremd students gathered to watch a fight Thursday.

Inverness police are investigating the stabbing of an 18-year-old Fremd High School student that occurred during a brawl. The incident happened the evening of Thursday, May 26, at South Park near the intersection of Clover Drive and Thompson Way, east of Ela Road. Inverness Police Chief Bob Haas said two Fremd students had planned to fight at the park and several dozen other students arrived at the park to watch the fight. Haas said that because of the size of the crowd, Palatine and Hoffman Estates police were called to assist. "It's still under investigation," Haas said.
