Palatine Farmers Market Opening Soon for Summer Season

Area farmers markets will soon be opening up for the summer season.

The Palatine Farmers Market will soon be back for the summer season.  The farmers market will open on Saturday, May 4 and will remain open through Oct. 26, according to the village's website. The village plans to post more information on the farmers market soon on the village website.  As well as vendors selling fresh produce, organic meats and cheeses, the farmers market, which was held in the Metra train station parking lot on Wood Street last year, also featured live music and other entretainment each week, according to Palatine Patch.  The last day of the village's winter farmers market wrapped up its season on April 13.

Plant a Free Pansy for Mom at the Palatine Farmers Market

The market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palatine Metra station.

Palatine Farmers Market will be offering children of all ages everything needed to plant a pansy for Mom on Saturday, May 12—just in time for Mothers' Day—and it's free. The Palatine Farmers' Market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palatine Metra station. Featured this week are perannials from the Palatine Garden Club, colorful potted containers and hanging baskets along with organic and local vegetables, free-range hormone-free meats, the cheese people, baked goods, condiments, pastas, sauces, spices, bison steaks, fruit pies and knife sharpening. -Submitted by the Palatine Farmers Market

Palatine Farmers Market Opens Saturday

There will be live music and special events held each week.

The Palatine Farmers Market kicks off its 2012 season Saturday, May 5. The market is located in the train station parking lot at 137 W. Wood Street. It opens at 7 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. It will be held each Saturday from May 5 to Oct. 27. Vendors selling items such as organic meats, cheeses, spices and pastas, along with fresh fruits and vegetables are sure to please a variety of tastes.
