Families with children of all ages are welcome to take part in the 14th annual Fall Festival at Palatine Stables, 1510 W. Northwest Highway, Saturday, Oct. 1. The event will include a petting zoo, wagon rides drawn by a team of horses and pony rides. “It’s really a fun-filled event for the whole community; you don’t have to be an equine enthusiast to have a great time close to home here in Palatine,” said Toni Bruns, trainer and barn manger of the Palatine Stables. On Saturday, Oct. 2, Palatine Park District celebrates autumn as it holds its 13th annual Fall Festival at Palatine Stables. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and hosts a variety of horse friendly activities for families and children.
