Leaves Are Falling And Public Works Is Picking Them Up
Leaf collection service is underway in village.
Now that fall is here and leaves are beginning to cover the ground, the Palatine's leaf disposal program is underway. Curbside leaf pick up occurs once every other week. That means there will be three scheduled pickups for residents who want to take advantage of the service this fall. A map and schedule for pickup is included in the Fall Palatine Newsletter. If you need additional information about when your pickup time is or how and where to place leaves, visit the village web site at www.palatine.il.us. In the interest of going 'green,' residents are encouraged to consider mulching or composting leaves so that time, fuel and landfill space can be saved.
