Durty Nellie's in Palatine will be hosting its 19th Annual Spring Beer Fest, which will feature over 90 hand-crafted brews, according to the Durty Nellie's website. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Advance tickets are available at Durty Nellie's and online at $35 per ticket. A souvenir pint glass is included in the purchase and there will be live entertainment featuring Jim and Justin from Modern Day Romeos. Green beer will be plentiful at area bars this weekend and Irish fare, such as corned beef and cabbage, will make its annual appearance on local restaurant menus. That's right, St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner. The annual holiday that celebrates everything Irish falls on a Sunday this year (March 17). Palatine plans to paint the town green with plenty of activities over the weekend, including a parade and Irish Market on Saturday, and a variety of entertainment on Saturday and Sunday right in downtown Palatine.
