Want to Vote for Palatine Races? Voter Registration Deadline is Tomorrow

If you want to vote in elections that affect you as a Palatine or Palatine Township resident, the last day you can register through the Palatine Village Clerk’s office is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12.

The April 9 Consolidated Election is less than a month away, and if you want to register with the Palatine Village Clerk’s office, you have until tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12 to do it. Local elections include the District 15 School Board, District 211 School Board, Palatine Park District, Palatine Township and Village of Palatine.  Four candidates are running for two open seats on the Palatine Park District Board.  The District 15 School Board has a total of nine candidates running for four open seats. District 15 School Board Race: 9 Candidates, 4 Open Seats

There are nine candidates running for four open seats in the April 9 Consolidated Election for D15 School Board. Three of the candidates running are incumbents.

District 15 voters will have a number of choices on who will fill the four open seats on the school board in the April 9 Consolidated Election.  Incumbents Peggy Babcock, Richard Bokar and David Seiffert have chosen to run again. Tim Millar, school board president, chose not to run again and is now running for the District 1 village councilman seat.  Additional candidates include Ramnath Cidambi, James Ekberg, Abdul Javid, Donna Johnson, Matthew Lyons and Jennifer Zold.  For more information on the election, visit the Cook County Clerk website.

Four Seats Open on District 15 School Board

The filing deadline to run for the D15 school board begins December 17 and ends December 26.

If you are interested in becoming a District 15 school board member, now is the time to organize your nominating materials if you haven’t done so already. There are four seats that will be open in the April 9, 2013 consolidated election. Tim Millar, current school board president will not be running again. Millar is instead is running for the District 1 councilman seat currently held by Councilman Aaron Del Mar, who has chosen not to run again after one term. The seats for board members Rich Bokor, Peggy Babcock, and David Sieffert also will be open for new candidates. Bokar and Babcock both were elected to four year terms in 2009.
