Brainstorming for Bicycle Routes
Residents voice opinions on how to make Palatine more bicycle-friendly.
More than 40 Palatine residents met with the Bicycle Transportation Plan consultants to give their opinions on how to improve bike paths and routes throughout the community. Bicycle enthusiasts who attended the Sept. 30 meeting at Village Hall were asked to map out what improvements are needed and where new paths are desired. Leading the meeting was the Executive Director of the League of Illinois Bicyclists, Ed Barsotti. "The goal is to get concrete input from local cyclists, have them assist us in setting priorities for the bike plan and have the community buy into the changes that we propose," Barsotti said.
