Attorney General Rejects D-15 Regarding Lukich Separation Agreement

Community Consolidated School District 15 must release information that was redacted from Freedom of Information Requests.

The public could get to see all of former school superintendent Daniel Lukich's separation agreement with Community Consolidated School District 15 after the Illinois Attorney General determined that there was insufficient justification to keep the information private. Lukich abruptly resigned effective June 30. The District 15 school board has not commented on what precipitated his departure. Under a separation agreement with the district, Lukich will receive $185,000 through 2011. The district's obligation to Lukich would decrease under the agreement if he took a new job. On second thought, hopefully D15 constituents learn from this and show up at the polls in November to vote on the bond issue (which Chapman and his fellow majority block members first tried to push through the back door) and in April to re-elect new BOE members. It's called transparency Dr. Chapman and you have not exhibited one ounce of it in the years you have been up there.   more ›
