Obituary: Erika Hummel of Lake Zurich, formerly of Palatine
Visitation and a funeral service will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, to honor the life of Erika A. Hummel.
Erika A. Hummel, 78, a resident of Lake Zurich and formerly of Palatine. Erika was born on January 24, 1935 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Erik and Kate (nee Bahl) Beck. She passed away on Saturday, February 23rd at her home in Lake Zurich. Erika will be remembered for her contagious laughter and smile, bringing joy to all those around her. She also enjoyed playing many different sports. Erika had worked alongside of her husband as a secretary for 35 years in their family construction business. Erika was the beloved wife of 48 years of Robert L.
