State Sen. Matt Murphy To Seek Re-Election
Republican Matt Murphy will seek re-election in 2012 the newly-drawn 27th District.
Republican State Senator Matt Murphy announced that he will seek re-election in 2012 in the 27th District. Murphy said the state's budget woes and taxes remain at the forefront of his priorities. The state has consistently been late with payments to local school districts and late in disbursing tax revenue back to the village of Palatine. "There's no question that those who rely on state government funding, are looking at the state to deliver on what it has promised and in a timely fashion," Murphy said. Murphy's district was changed a bit by realignment. The district used to include about half of Barrington Township, that no longer is the case. The district also used to include part of Buffalo Grove and Wheeling. The newly drawn district …
