Palatine Village and Township Candidates Set

While there are no contested races for Village of Palatine elected seats, Palatine Township will have a primary that includes 17 candidates for seven open spots.

While the Village of Palatine April 2013 consolidated election has no contested races so far, Palatine Township voters will have 17 candidates to decide between for seven open seats on its board.   The filing period for mayor of Palatine, village clerk, and council seats for districts 1, 4 and 6 ended November 26, along with township supervisor, assessor, highway commissioner and four trustee seats.  Palatine Township The Palatine Township Republican Organization has endorsed a slate including Sharon Langlotz-Johnson for supervisor, Tom Kaider for highway commissioner, Kathy Allegretti for clerk, and Bill Pohlman, Art Goes, Kevin McGrane and Bill Huley for trustee.  Current Palatine Township Supervisor Linda Fleming also plans to run again…

Mayor, Clerk and Village Council Seats Up For Primary

The village of Palatine mayor, clerk and district 1, 4 and 6 council seat terms will be up this spring. If you are interested in running, you must filed paperwork between November 19-26. The primary election is February 26, 2013.

If you are interested in becoming the next mayor of Palatine, the village clerk or represent districts 1, 4 or 6 on the village council, the start date for filing is just a week from today.  The date to file would provide elibility to run in the primary election on February 26, 2013.  Requirements for each of the offices are a minimum of one year of residency in Palatine. For council members, an individual must live within the district they desire to run in for at least six months prior to the election.  You must also be a registered voter.  The first day you can file is Monday, November 19 and the final day is Monday, November 26.
