If you are interested in becoming the next mayor of Palatine, the village clerk or represent districts 1, 4 or 6 on the village council, the start date for filing is just a week from today. The date to file would provide elibility to run in the primary election on February 26, 2013. Requirements for each of the offices are a minimum of one year of residency in Palatine. For council members, an individual must live within the district they desire to run in for at least six months prior to the election. You must also be a registered voter.
