The 11-year-old from Hough Street School student was hit by a Metra train Friday night at Route 50 and Lake Cook Road, he lost his foot but otherwise has only scrapes and bruises.
The incident happened just after 6 p.m. Friday at Route 59 north of Lake Cook Road.
The meatballs containing horse meat were not sold in the Schaumburg or Bolingbrook locations, the Associated Press reports.
