Obituary: Richard "Skip" Skibski of Schaumburg

Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine on Saturday.

Richard "Skip" M. Skibski, 71, of Schaumburg was born December 22, 1941, in Chicago to Mitchell and Harriet, nee Manicki.  He passed away March 16, 2013, after a 4 year confrontation with brain cancer. Skip was a Lane Tech and DeVry graduate, but kept returning to college for more classes in his quest for more knowledge.  He had a long and successful career in Information Technology as a business owner, software specialist and highly-sought consultant. He met the love of his life, Deanna, nee Hansen, on a blind date and married her on November 23, 1963 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elmwood Park. Dorothy Nicoloff's life will be remembered at a memorial visitation in her hometown of Valders, Wisconsin on Saturday.

Dorothy Ann (nee Thompson) Nicoloff, 88, of Palatine, IL and formerly of Valders, WI, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on May 23, 1924, in Valders, WI. She was the daughter of the late Reuel and Esther (nee Harvey) Thompson. She attended local schools. After high school graduation, she worked at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois where she met her husband of 27 years, Charles E. Nicoloff. Together they had four children, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. After marriage, Dorothy was a long-term employee at Bartlett Manufacturing Company in Cary Illinois serving them for 33 years. Obituary: Thomas H. Chase, Jr. of Palatine

Thomas Chase was a Korean War veteran, and had a 34 year career at Allstate Insurance. He will be remembered at a visitation on Saturday, March 16.

Thomas Henry Chase, Jr. passed away Friday March 8, 2013 near his home in Palatine, IL.  Tom was born September 11, 1936 to Thomas H. Chase, Sr. and Emma Jones in Philadelphia, and was the youngest of 3 children.  Tom graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA and Juniata College in Huntington, PA. Tom is survived by his wife, Jeannette Lowe; daughter, Debbie Romanek (Jim); sons, Thomas H Chase III (Tammy) and John Chase (Lori); grandchildren, Sarah, Jimmy and Sally Romanek, Thomas H. Obituary: Paul Kalcsics, 54, of Lake Zurich

Services for 54 year old Paul Kalcsics of Lake Zurich will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home in Palatine.

Paul Kalcsics, 54, a 20 years resident of Lake Zurich, was born on September 15, 1958 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Edwin and Virginia (nee Kwasek) Kalcsics and passed away on Thursday, March 7th.  Beloved husband of Cathy nee: (Stressler) Kalcsics; loving father of Christina and Daniel Kalcsics; dear brother of Drew (Janet) Kalcsics; also survived by many other loving family and friends. Paul was an engineer, gardener, artist, chef and avid music enthusiast. Maloney, 82, was a Korean War veteran, a deacon at St. Thomas of Villanova for 25 years and a longtime Palatine resident.

Tom Maloney, Sr. was born on April 23rd, 1930 in Gary, Indiana, the son of the late Patrick and Helen (nee: McCall), and passed away on Tuesday, March 5th. Beloved husband of Virginia (Smith) Maloney and his late 1st wife Bernadette (nee: Walker) Maloney; loving father of Mary Clare Maloney and Thomas (Kerry) Maloney, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Patrick and Quinn Geregach, Griffin, Kendall and Logan Maloney; dear brother of Fr. Patrick Maloney, Clare Maloney and preceded by his siblings Sr. Mary Catherine Maloney, Helen Skelton, John and Richard Maloney.
