Long Grove Strawberry Festival
Long Grove will host its Strawberry Festival this weekend on the downtown streets of Long Grove. Festivities kick off Friday.Visitors can expect tons of strawberry-inspired treats from local merchants and vendors, including: strawberry blended creams, strawberry mocha frappes, strawberry Italian soda, wild strawberry iced tea, vegan and gluten-free strawberry popcorn, chocolate dipped strawberries, strawberry fudge, strawberry kabobs and more.
Other strawberry-themed food, drinks and merchandise available for sale include: strawberry barbecue sauce, fresh strawberry lemonade, chocolate-covered strawberry tacos, strawberry bruschetta, stuffed ravioli filled with fresh strawberries and ricotta, strawberry scones with strawberry butter, strawberry soufflé and chilled strawberry, cucumber and watercress soup, strawberry wine and more.
There will also be live entertainment with headliners such as Honey and the 45's on Friday, Cover Gurl on Saturday and 7th Heaven on Sunday.
The Long Grove Strawberry Festival will be open Friday, June 20 and Sunday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The entrance fee is $5 per person.

BeachFest 2014
The 10th annual BeachFest will be held this weekend in Round Lake Beach. There will be live music, a crafter's market, car and motorcycle shows, carnival, petting zoo, plenty of family-friendly activities, food and more.You can view the full schedule of events on the BeachFest website.
Movie in Park in Arlington Heights: Frozen
Family-favorite Frozen is coming to an Arlington Heights park this weekend. The movie will start at Recreation Park, 500 East Miner St., at 8:30 p.m. Families can also bring out their dinner starting at 6:30 and have a picnic before the movie.There will be a bounce house, picnic type games for the whole family to participate in and other activities starting at 7:15 p.m. There is no cost to attend this event. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Girls Day Out at Arlington Park
It's Girls Day Out at Arlington Park this Saturday.Ladies can slip into their favorite summer dress, pull out their fashion hat and join friends out at the race track. Gates open at 11:15 a.m. at Arlington Park, 2200 West Euclid Avenue. General admission is $8 for adults.
Activities in the park include a Girls Day Out vendor tent, live band and food and beverage specials.
For $70.12, ladies can get the girls day out all-inclusive package (you must be at least 21 years old), which includes: beer and wine bar with specialty cocktail, passed Appetizers, chef-cooking demonstrations with recipes and wine pairings, photo booth of the stars and shopping and pampering.

Solstice Hop & Vine Fest in Schaumburg
Schaumburg Park Foundation’s Solstice Hop and Vine Fest will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on June 21 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. There will be live entertainment and wineries and breweries will have sample tastings and sell bottles of sampled wines.Admission is $30 and includes 10 tastings. Woodstock Garden Walk
The Woodstock Professional and Business Women will present their 22nd annual Garden Walk on Saturday June 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The walk will be held rain or shine. The event will feature six "unique and inspirational gardens."You can also check out the Woodstock Farmer's Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., while you are in town.

Arlington Heights Garden Walk
The Arlington Heights Garden Walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22. The Garden Walk traditionally features five to seven residential gardens located in different parts of the village.
