Village Teams up for Annual 'Toys for Tots' Drive

Village of Palatine participates in annual Toys for Tots drive to benefit families in need.

The Village of Palatine staff joins forces with the Palatine Fire Department, Police Departments of Inverness and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to organize another 'Toys for Tots' drive held in Palatine.

"The annual Toys for Tots campaign is an opportunity for all of the Village to provide assistance to needy families in Palatine and throughout the northwest suburbs," Palatine Police Officer Wayne Sunderlin said, as posted in the Nov. 18 Village Press Release.

Last year, the drive was a success, with toys enough to fill several trucks. As stated in the Village Press Release, the Village of Palatine aims to exceed total donations from the last annual drive, with toys enough to fill the Village Hall's Council Chambers. New drive participants include Sundling Junior High School, Quest Academy and the Cub Scouts at Pleasant Hill.
