Shy and Sensitive Percy Seeks A Quiet Home

This 10-year-old kitty seeks a quiet haven to call home.

There’s nothing worse than losing your way in the wintertime, especially when you are an older indoor kitty with no claws!

I’m Percy, a beautiful and very sweet little kitty. Whether I lost my way or was purposefully dumped outside, the good Samaritans that let me stay in their garage while they tried to find my family literally saved my life. But after several days went by, and no one could find my owner, I was picked up by Animal Control, where my future became uncertain.

Several rescue groups were contacted, but not many can help a kitty my age. Though I’m a healthy 10-year-old, most other rescues and shelters are busy helping the youngsters in need of homes. That’s when Young at Heart Pet Rescue offered to take me into their adoption program, specifically designed to help older pets like me.

I am so thankful that I have a second chance!

I got all cleaned up at the vet’s office, and it turns out I’m a healthy guy! I got all my shots, a microchip, and a senior wellness panel, and I was on my way to Young at Heart’s adoption center at Best Friends Pet Care.

I love to be petted and brushed, and am just so happy to be loved. I’m a little shy with the other kitties, but I’m getting used to them, and would probably be OK in a home with one other mellow kitty like me. I love small spaces and will curl up in any cat bed or shoe box I can find. I’d prefer a quieter adult home, as noise tends to really scare me. I like peaceful mornings where I can just sit with you while you drink your coffee, and evenings curled up in your lap while you watch TV.

I’m just a sweet middle-aged guy who would really like a quiet home with lots of lap time. I’m four-paw declawed, healthy, and have excellent litter box manners. Fill out an adoption application today! My adoption fee of just $55 benefits the rescued pets at Young at Heart Pet Rescue. So come on out to Best Friends Pet Care and visit me. I’m ready to keep you company!
