Volunteers Needed: PATH Presents 6th Annual 'Day of Giving'

The 6th Annual "Day of Giving" will be Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Palatine Opportunity Center, 1585 N. Rand Road.

PATH is presenting the 6th Annual “Day of Giving” at the Palatine Opportunity Center, 1585 N. Rand Road.

During the event, needy families from the Palatine area gather at the Palatine Opportunity Center to select clothing for their family.

Contact PATH if you are interested in volunteering or participating in the "Day of Giving." To Sign up email PATH at Info@PATH-Palatine.org. Place Volunteer on the subject line and include your name and phone number. Once PATH receives the email it will send an email invitation from VolunteerSpot.com. Accept the invitation to electronically select your days and times for volunteering.

Below is a list of volunteer opportunties:

Youth to Adult
Sanborn School, 101 North Oak Street
Tuesday, Nov. 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Sorting clothes by gender and age.
  • Folding or place clothes on hangers.
  • Then re-bagging clothes to be transported to the Palatine Opportunity Center.

Teenager to Adult

The Palatine Opportunity Center, 1585 N. Rand Road, Friday, Nov. 25 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Unload trucks, hang and arrange clothes on tables.

Friday, Nov. 25, 5:15 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 26 7:15 a.m. to noon

  • Restack and replenish clothes.
  • Help guests locate sizes and keep.
  • Floors clear of dropped clothes.
