The annual event was the brainchild of Lavelle Law partner Cameron Monti and is run through the law firm’s non-profit organization.  The first game took place in the fall of 2009.

“For the past two years, the Palatine Bowl has not only been a fun time for everyone involved, but we’ve been able to raise a lot of money to donate to charitable causes,” Monti said.

At last year’s event, Lavelle Law Charities raised funds for Women in Need Growing Stronger (WINGS) and Fallen Heroes, an organization that provides assistance to families of fallen service men and women.

Food, refreshments and entertainment at the event are free to those who attend, and proceeds from a 50/50 raffle will benefit the Northwest Special Recreation Association.

The special recreation association provides a variety of recreational activities for adults and children with disabilities.

“We are very pleased to help an organization that does outstanding work in our community," Monti said. "Every dollar we raise will have a measurable impact on the lives of its members and their families."

Raffle tickets will be soldfor $5 each or five tickets for $20.

The game will include family activities at intermission, including a dance contest, moonwalk, face painting and a chance to get a close-up look at a Palatine Fire Department fire truck.

“We’re excited to be working with our friends at Lavelle Law again,” Palatine police Sgt. Kyle Ingebrigtsen said. “We look forward to this event every year and are always happy to help out.”
