Palatine American Legion Fish Fry April 22
The Palatine American Legion Post 690 will host a fish fry Friday, April 22.
The Palatine American Legion Post 690 is holding a fish fry Friday, April 22 which is open to the public from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall 122 West Palatine Rd. in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.
“We will be serving oven fried ... dinners for $8 for adults and $4 for children under eight years old,” said Todd Pearson, Legion Commander, in a press release. “The dinner includes fish, soup, tater tots, mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, rye bread and dessert. The dinner will be held downstairs in the Legion’s family-friendly clubroom. A full service bar is available for drinks.”
“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion,” Pearson said in the press release. “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the Legion is the organization for you. If you have any questions on the American Legion or any of our activities call us at 847-359-1606.”

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness, the press release states. It is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
The Palatine Chapter holds monthly general meetings on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.
