Loving Mom & Internet Team Up To Give This Autistic Boy a Birthday To Remember

It has been years since Logan Pearson’s family has held a birthday party for the non-verbal Autistic boy. People just stopped sending cards and gifts because Logan didn’t understand. His mom always felt "down" on his birthday because of it

But all of that changed on Saturday thanks to the several Massachusetts law enforcement agencies.

Logan’s mom Catherine had onlyasked for people to send her son cards for his birthday. The Internet responded — cards began piling in from all over the world. Italy. Africa. Everywhere. And not just cards, but gifts, too, including a $100 gift card to Toys R Us.

But on Saturday, a group of police officers held a special party just for Logan.

A police escort brought Logan to his party at North Andover’s Fuddruckers restaurant, where he was met by dozens of smiling police officers all in uniform and a giant banner signed by officers from the University of Massachusetts Police Department.

The party was organized by Brockton court officer Pamela Ryan and Cambridge Police Officer Steven Bikofsky.  According to the Andover Police Department, officers from Andover, North Andover, Methuen, Cambridge, Somerville, the Middlesex County Sheriff’s office, UMass Boston, Northeastern University, and the ATF, as well as others, were all there to celebrate Logan’s birthday.

“Logan just had the most amazing day,” said Catherine on her Facebook page. “I just cannot believe what the police departments in Massachusetts did for us. We do not deserve this.”

Logan's 12th birthday is Monday, Feb. 24. If you want to send a card, just address it to:
