Crash Closes Lake-Cook Road; Icy Spots Reported on Roadways

Ice is being reported on some bridges.

Lake-Cook Road near Hicks Road is closed in both directions this morning following a four-vehicle crash that happened around 6:30 a.m., the Daily Herald reported at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday. 

The accident happened on a bridge near Route 12, according to the article. 

Roadway Conditions Wednesday Morning

 The Illinois State Police told the Chicago Tribune that travel on the interstates was "close to normal" Wednesday morning but ice had been reported on some bridges, which caused spin outs. 

Some patches of ice and snow are being reported on highways throughout the Chicago suburbs, including the major highways near the city, according the Illinois Department of Transportation.
