Heat Advisory Issued for Thursday, Friday in Northern Illinois

How hot will it be? Read on.

More oppressive heat is on the way Thursday and Friday, with heat index values in the 100- to 110-degree range.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. Thursday until 7 p.m. Friday for most of northern Illinois, including the following counties: Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Livingston, Will and Winnebago.

Forecast highs are expected to reach the low- to mid-90s on Thursday and the mid- to upper-90s on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago. Heat index readings could reach 100-105 degrees on Thursday and 103-108 on Friday.
