Palatine Girls Cross Country Ranked Among Best Teams in Nation

Palatine High School's girl cross country team is among the top teams in the nation, according to rankings by XC Nation. 

As of Oct. 23, the team is ranked No. 10 in the country by XC Nation. Topping the list was the Birmingham, Mich., girls cross-country team. Locally, Naperville North High School was ranked at No. 9, Winnetka's New Trier cross-country team came in at No. 14 and Glen Ellyn's Glenbard West High School was ranked at No. 24. 

The Palatine High School girls cross-country team will compete this weekend at the regional meet after coming off a big win last weekend at the conference meet in Buffalo Grove, according to the Palatine High School XC team website. The team won the Mid Suburban League title. 

The regional meet will start at 10 a.m. on Oct. 26 at Deer Grove Forest Preserve-East, according to the IHSA website.
