NHL linesman and Palatine native Andy McElman, 51, is back on the ice after spending a year away recovering from multiple facial injuries, according to the Daily Herald.
During a game in February 2012, McElman was hit in the face with a puck, which shattered his nose, broke his cheekbone and cracked his orbital, according to the article.
