Prospect High School hosted the Mid Suburban League varsity conference gymnastics meet Friday. Two of the teams were undefeated, Fremd and Prospect.
Fremd took first, with a score of 146.40 and Prospect followed with a score of 143.475. Palatine High School finished a strong third with a 140.70. Barrington took fourth (139.70) and Conant place fifth (139.675).
Fremd senior, Stephanie Uhrich captured the all around title with an all around score of 37.55 after an outstanding performance on floor of 9.575. Palatine High School junior Nicole Kuksuk finishing with an all around seventh place finish.
Fremd tied for second on bars with Freshman Sydney Plichta scoring a 9.225. Junior Shannon Lemajeur, placed second on vault (9.425) and sophomore Christine Jensen too third on beam (9.325).
Nicole Kuksuk placed fourth on bars (9.2) and vault (9.325) for Palatine.
The Fremd Ladies Varsity team is comprised of Stephanie Uhrich, Elizabeth Uhrich, Stephanie Gallo, Anna Johnson, Mary Smaga, Shannon Lemajeur, Emily Penderski, Christine Jensen, Emily Neal, Sydney Plichta, and Chrissy Radochonski.
Palatine Varsity Team members are Megan Hedstrom, Marissa Mallon, Claudia Przystal, Abby Alden, Nicole Kuksuk, and Andrea Orl.
Fremd has captured the MSL conference meets at the Freshman and Junior Varsity levels earlier this week. Freshman Lauren Shoaf won all around and senior, Hannah Lee won all around for Junior Varsity.
