The Fremd Vikings gymnastics team won its regional beating Lake Park, and Buffalo Grove. Individuals from Dundee Crown and Jacobs High School also competed.
Fremd (144.525) topped the team standings followed by Lake Park (134.30) and Buffalo Grove (125.275).

Shannon Lamajeur lead the Vikings with top scores (9.375) on vault and (9.425) beam, Sydney Plichta topped the bars event (9.275). Allison Riedel from Jacobs High School, was first on the floor exercise, (9.05). The floor exercise gave the Vikings some trouble, but the girls were quick to regroup and excel on beam.
The all around winner of the meet was Allison Riedel, Jacobs High School, (36.925) followed by Fremd Shannon Lemajeur (36.025) and Stephanie Uhrich (35.775).
