Fremd Girls Basketball Has Close Game Against Rolling Meadows

The Fremd varsity girls basketball team was defeated Tuesday night by nationally ranked Rolling Meadows following a close game, according to the Daily Herald.

The teams were tied 15-15 at one point before Rolling Meadows pulled ahead by 18 points, according to the article. The Daily Herald reports Fremd fought back to close within three points of the Mustangs in the final seconds of the game.

In the final seconds, the Mustangs "forced a turnover," preventing a final 3-point shot by Fremd and winning the game, according to the Daily Herald.

During the past two seasons, Rolling Meadows and Fremd have "traded buzzer-beating victories" in championship games of the Mid-Suburban League, according to an earlier Daily Herald article.

The Fremd girls will play their next game Friday against Hoffman Estates, according to the Fremd High School website.
