Football: USA Today Ranks Palatine High Football 7th in State

USA Today has released its national rankings for high school teams.

USA Today has released their national rankings of high school football teams for the 2013 season, and of the 579 teams in Illinois, Palatine High School ranked 8th.

In the list, Palatine's defense is ranked 32nd and its offense is ranked 2nd in the state. Nationally, the school received rank of 192

Fremd High School also fared well in the rankings. The school is ranked 42nd in the state. Fremd's defense is ranked 26th in the state while its offense received a rank of 78.  

The top five Illinois teams according to the ranking are: No. 1 Mt. Carmel, Chicago; No. 2 Loyola Academy, Wilmette; No. 3 Lincoln-Way East, Frankfort; No. 4 Glenbard West and No. 5 Neuqua Valley, Naperville.
