Vikings Beat Broncos 24-7

Happy Homecoming Vikings! At home, Fremd beat Barrington 24-7 in a Mid-Suburban West divisional opener Friday night, the Daily Herald reports.

A cold and rainy Homecoming for (4-1) Fremd, the Vikings charged the Broncos, running the ball to beat Barrington 24-7 in a Mid-Suburban West divisional opener Friday night, the Daily Herald reports. 

Fremd running back, Jeff McGlade scored the first two touchdowns of the game, to put the Vikings up 14-0 before halftime. The Daily Herald reports McGlade, a junior at Fremd ran for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns on 28 carries to help carry the Vikes to victory.

The Vikings expanded their lead to 24-0 in the fourth quarter but Barrington was able to get on the board, scoring one touchdown late in the game. The Daily Herald reports Fremd held (2-3) Barrington to just 108 yards of total offense.  With quick offense and a strong defense at home, the Fremd Vikings topped Barrington, 24-7 Friday night.
