Palatine, Fremd Students Perfect on ACT

A Palatine High School student and four students from Fremd High School had perfect scores on the ACT.

One Palatine High School student and four students from Fremd High School achieved perfect scores on the ACT college entrance exam.

Ryan Erdmann of Palatine High School and Scott Kirkwood, Jackson Mitzner, William Shih and Andrew Song from Fremd High School had perfect scores on the exam.

Although more than 1.5 million students took the ACT last year, only 1 in 3,300 students scores a 36.

The ACT is comprised of tests in English, math, reading and science reasoning. Each test is scored on a scale of 1 to 36. A students score is the average of the four tests.

Since 1998, 46 District 211 students have achieved a score of 36.

Mengran Liu of Hoffman Estates High School also had a perfect score in Township High School District 211. Liu also had a perfect score in February 2011 and April 2011.
