Middle School students from Holy Family Academy (Inverness) launched a high altitude balloon complete with GPS and GoPro camera.
The balloon reached 97,000 feet in the stratosphere and recorded temperatures at -52F. This is part of Holy Family's "hands-on/minds-on STEM program. Above is a photo of Lake Michigan complete with ice coverage.
