The Fremd High School Varsity Scholastic Bowl team won the Mid-Suburban League Pre-Season Tournament on Saturday, December 3, 2011, held at Prospect High School.
Fremd defeated Buffalo Grove in an exciting and hard-fought championship match that ended in overtime after a tie-breaker, toss-up and bonus question. This is Fremd High School’s third consecutive pre-season MSL tournament title. Out of 120 toss-ups questions read for the day, FHS junior Ben Lewis was the tournament’s top scorer, scoring 29 toss-ups, while FHS senior Jason Liang was second with 23.
