STILL time to appeal your property taxes-until Dec 7th

Still Time to Appeal Your Property Taxes
written by: Assessor Terry Kelly

Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly wants to remind Palatine Township residents that property tax appeals can still be filed with the Board of Review up until December 7.  Homeowners can appeal their property’s assessed value twice a year, once with the Cook County Assessor and once with the Board of Review.

Reducing the assessed value of your property can help lower your tax bill.  If you feel your property is over assessed residents are encouraged to stop by the Township Assessor’s Office at 721 S. Quentin Rd to file an appeal.  The Township will be able to help homeowners locate comparable properties to be used when filing their appeal.  The Township Assessor’s Office direct phone is 847-358-6164.
