Appeal Your Property Tax Assessment

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak is hosting a property tax appeal seminar offered to taxpayers seeking to appeal their 2012 property tax assessments.

The seminar is co-sponsored by Palatine Township Assessor Terry Kelly, Cook County Commissioner Gregg Goslin, State Senator Matt Murphy and State Representative Tom Morrison

The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal in a time when the economy is putting added pressures to home and business owners.

The seminar will explain how property taxes are calculated and the appeal procedure of the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns.
