District 15 Schools Get Recognition for PBIS Programs

Several Palatine schools received recognition for programs that encourage positive behavior among students.

Ten District 15 schools were recognized recently by the Illinois Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Network—three of them for the first time, a release from District 15 reports.

The honors reflect the Illinois PBIS Network’s restructured recognition framework that sets forth more rigorous criteria that schools must meet to earn its different implementation statuses.

“The recognition from the Illinois PBIS Network is affirmation that these schools are implementing PBIS with fidelity and have demonstrated positive outcomes for the students and families that they serve as a result of their hard work,” said Kathy Pluymert, Ph.D., director of educational programs.
